We’re excited to announce a live event on August 28th at 11:00 AM PT covering our recent improvements to our Mobile Horizon worlds gameplay and controls, designed to give you more flexibility and efficiency when building worlds for mobile devices!
What’s new?
- 🎮 Now easier to create and manage in-game controls
- New out-of-the-box Game controls , including tap, long tap, pinch, rotating, and swiping are available, removing the need for custom coding.
- ‘Back’ button can now be disabled in Focused Interaction mode.
- New camera type to improve gameplay: Follow camera . Users no longer have to orient the camera view as they move; Follow camera automatically orientates users view while providing flexibility for creators to adjust settings.
- 👊 Easier to use grabbable objects in your worlds
- Create roles with specific permissions for interactable objects, allowing you to create more complex worlds, such as; a cops and robbers game where cops and robbers have different weapons.
- Disable physics for grabbable objects , activate this feature to allow users to carry grabbables with them through narrow spaces like doorways without the grabbable object falling down.
- Set distance at which objects are interactable , allowing you to tailor the distance for your gameplay, such as; making it easier for users to select a specific grabbable amongst many grabable objects.
- 🕺Create custom avatars animations for your worlds
- Import your custom avatar animations, created using Blender or Maya, into your asset library for use within their worlds.
- 📱 Preview entire experience on mobile before publishing
- Can now preview the entire experience and elements with the different types of mobile screens, such as the different blank spots for Android and Apple camera positions, to determine the impact on the UI.
