As we are planning for 2025, we are also taking a close look at which areas of the Community can be improved. You may have noticed some navigation changes already, and that's due to these improvements. We removed access to the “Ideas” and “Meta Horizon Worlds” sections of the forums for the time being. You're still welcome to share your ideas in threads on the forums, and if you'd like to discuss anything around Meta Horizon Worlds, you can post in this forum.
We love hearing from the community and love seeing the conversation generated by your ideas, but we also want to make sure that the ideas pages are fully meeting the needs of all audiences on the community.
We recommend subscribing to the Announcements page (click Options > Subscribe) so that you'll be notified of all upcoming enhancements. Thank you!
Here's an idea ? how about Auto login when you open this website that would be the first thing I would change, (say like AMAZON!) instead of having to go to "https://auth.oculus.com/" to log in each time ?? doh!!! (Yes they are still using the OCULUS site!) Oh come on it will would take minutes to write this html code! Why oh why are people at meta so lazy?? or is it another place that people sit there and say "Not my Job!" seems like the whole world is getting like that 😞
Same with me, I'm able to stayed login. I don't get log out unless I delete cookies and site data on my browser. I know if the browser is set on protecting your privacy data, like cookies disable in the browser settings, or browser that's for privacy data protection, will prevent you to stay login
Also, the guardian boundary should be editable. All the physical space features need to be tested for QOL improvements really, because they are used quite often in some cases, and the small issue becomes quite annoying. One of the worst offenders I noticed was in the Room setup the menu tracks to the HMD and will keep moving directly in front of your face while you try to set up the room. While I appreciate the cool features, things like this just leave me aghast that it made it to release.
There are so many things we want to talk about but we don't feel heard, if your core user group is asking/saying something, you should listen. 1 - When disabling guardian, let us use passthrough 2- Give us the possibility to have all interfaces/windows/menus closer to us so we can interact with our hands
3- Get battery and time info in the contextual menu connected to home button on the wrist. 4- Revamp the Link environment
5- Give third party developers the possibility to use the cable
6- Otherwise progress is good, things are going in the right direction
We should be able to customize our Universal Menu more, many would appreciate being able to pin more apps and unpin ones like People, or Horizon Feed (I've never even used this one!).
Us users need a way to sort our apps. I personally loved the folder options on PlayStation where we could name folders and sort the apps in to the folders we desired them to be in for easy finding
When will developers give me the ability to share a instagram saved album with other people. I have so many great saved albums of workouts, business concepts, recipes, quotes, etc.. that I would love to be able to share but have no ability to. You can make a shared album but there is no option for an existing album. I’d have to go through and resave every post to the new album. That makes no sense.
I had this idea about creating a unified inventory system where players can collect and use fun around Meta Horizon Worlds, interactive items across different worlds. These items wouldn’t give gameplay advantages but would make the experience more engaging and playful. Here are some examples to give you an idea of what I mean:
Similar to Fortnite's graffiti, players could use items to leave temporary creative marks or fun designs in different spaces.
Inspired by Sky: Children of the Light, players could have zones to decorate and record memories as Shared Spaces. When others interact with your candle, they could replay that moment, seeing how you had decorated the area and moved around.
Like in Super Mario Maker or similar games, worlds could have interactive comments or messages left by players. These could give tips, provide hints, or simply add a social layer where others can like or respond to the messages.
Drawing from Hypixel Skyblock, each world could hide collectibles or Easter eggs that players can discover. These could be tied to specific skills or just be fun, unique finds that add replayability.
The core idea is to make the experience richer and more immersive. These interactive elements wouldn’t just be personal—they could create more meaningful ways for players to connect, share, and explore together.
What do you all think? I’d love to hear more ideas from the community and see if we could turn this into something possible!
