(Updated as of: November 2024)

The first and foremost objective to any game is to HAVE FUN. Right? That’s exactly what we hope for all members on the Meta Community Forums. To ensure that happens, and for you to connect well with other members, we need to set some ground rules.

The Guidelines below have been established (and updated, as of November 2024) for the privacy and safety of all of our members. We reserve the right to edit or remove posts that violate any of the rules listed below and will apply the appropriate consequences for these recorded violations. Meta reserves the right to  restrict members’ posting ability, at Meta’s discretion.

  1. Be respectful. Every member should feel welcome, no matter who they are or where they come from. Please maintain a respectful tone at all times when posting in the community. Civil debate is acceptable, but please be respectful of others while you do so. Content that is harmful, hostile, threatening, abusive, baiting, vulgar, defamatory, harassing, trolling, flaming, name-calling, contains profanity or includes hate or racist speech will be removed.

  2. Keep it clean. In order to keep our forums safe for all members, discussion of VR-  or Quest-related NSFW topics are not allowed. We ask that community users do not post or link to any material considered adult, pornographic, violent, harmful or mature in nature.

  3. Do not create multiple accounts. Please only create one account in the community. Users found to have more than one account will have their accounts banned without appeal.

  4. Selling merchandise or services is not allowed. Please do not attempt to sell your used Quest hardware or any other items, such as services or products.

  5. No posting or linking to pirated or illegal content. Discussion of piracy is fine, but linking to or uploading any pirated material is strictly disallowed.

  6. No religious, political, ideological, scientific or socioeconomic debate. If you would like to have an ideological debate, please find another forum.

  7. Do not create spam or nonsense discussion threads. If you would like to discuss something not relevant to virtual reality or Meta products, please do so in the Off-Topic board.

  8. Do not cross-post the same message into multiple threads or forums. If you have a question or comment, please only post once in the appropriate forum or thread.

  9. Protect privacy. Don't share anything about yourself that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard. Please keep everyone safe and refrain from posting personal information: your own or anyone else's. If personally-identifiable information is posted on the forums, our moderators will edit the post to remove all personal information or remove the post from public view and it will be placed in a private board.

  10. Moderation actions. Community members are not allowed to post about moderation actions, warnings, or suspensions related to their account or the account of others, nor is it permitted to discuss or repost content that has previously been removed.

  11. Search first! Please use the search functionality first to see if your question has already been answered. If you don’t find what you need, then please post in the correct forum for your topic. If others say something you agree with, you also can use the ‘kudos’ button on the bottom of each item to show your appreciation and agreement. Or use the “Accepted Solutions” option whenever another user provides you with an answer you found helpful.

  12. Celebrate each other! This community welcomes hearing about your latest personal triumph, or just an amazing experience you’ve had with your Quest.

Terms

Each community member agreed to comply with the following documents at the time of registering either for the Meta Community Forums or with Meta.com:

Anyone not in compliance with the actions and behavior outlined in these documents, or in these Community Guidelines, could face suspension or ban from this platform.

Help Center

Meta’s Help Center is another fantastic resource for troubleshooting or assistance on any Meta topic. If your question or concern involves sharing any personal or account settings/information, you’ll want to go through the Help Center instead of the Community. We reserve Community discussions to be those that will benefit other members.

Some common topics you’ll find in the Help Center:

  • Having trouble with a Facebook or Instagram account? The best place to go for help with those accounts is the Facebook Help Center or the Instagram Help Center. Our team isn't able to assist with those account troubles.
  • Looking for information about refunds for apps and games purchased on Meta Horizon Store? Click here.

If you need to speak with an agent directly, please contact our support team here.
