It’s been just over four years since Asgard’s Wrath launched on the Rift Platform. It was a landmark title for VR—helping to usher in a new era of ambition and audacity among game developers. Fast-forward to June of this year when we revealed the impending launch of the sequel. And now, the wait is (almost) over: Asgard’s Wrath 2 launches tomorrow at 7:00 am PT on Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro! Check out the blog for everything you need to know for launch: https://www.meta.com/blog/quest/asgards-wrath-2-launch
How many hours left from now is that exactly? I still don't get the regional time conversion in our region.
Like "Asgards Wrath 2 will release in 16 hours!" Then just deduct the time of posting from that time. No need to open Google for time zone conversions. ^_^.
Really super exited to play this game, wishing it had an early access for those who pre-ordered it like with Arizona Sunshine 2.
@KyrenCross i really don’t wanna be the guy but in the time it took you to write up that paragraph, you could’ve pulled up Google trice to query „pt time now“ and would’ve gotten the answer completely independent of any random meta forum users;) … Benefit of that being, that after a few times you will have it memorised as well - that’s a double whammy if I’ve ever seen one!
We actually did exactly that, me and my friends typed in conversions and came up with different times each. That is why it confused us a lot. We even asked on other forums and majority are confused giving different times.
Meta should really have some sort of countdown on their store page for the release times, as not everyone lives in America that buys their games as well. Steam understands this so well that they have "hours left" on upcoming releases down to the last minute.
But thanks for the answer. Even though the meta forum does not state the exact date and time a reply was posted. Which they really should update as well. Just wanting to help and give suggestions so user experience would be better in the future.
Also the thread topic has the keyword "countdown" so can't be blamed to expect an actual countdown in the post ^_^.
Cannot download for free as per the offer when purchased the quest 3. Any idea how I can download this for free? Does it need to be done via the headset or can this be done via the app store online and mobile? Thanks in advance...
downloaded Asgard's wraith played 2 minutes then exited the game and won't come back into the game again. how can it be solved so that I can play asgard's wraith?
@AzzaMcGee after you activated the headset, you will get an email to redeem the game. Or just go to the store page and get it there for free after activation.
But this will only work if you bought your quest 3 brand new. If you got it second hand, then the original owner might have activated it and got the game first, so you wont be able to get it if that is the case.
@Gregga123 Usually a headset restart can fix most issues. Try that first. Also make sure to check if you have extra drive space after the game installation, as the game will need those for shader compilation.
If that still wont fix the issue, a reinstall of the game might be needed and the very last resort will be to do a headset factory reset.
Merci !
Calibration does not work for me (and it looks like other users have the same issue). Controller are working fine in other apps, but pushing the thumbstick in order to do the mandatory calibration for Asgard's Wrath 2 game does simply not work. I removed already the batteries of the contollers, calibrate the controllers in the settings. None of theses actions resolved the issue. So, I cannot play Asgard's Wrath 2 which is not very funny. Is there an resolution?
I finally got around to trying Asgard's Wrath 2 today, which just happened to coincide with the release of the first Quest 3 enhancement update. I gotta say, I'm really liking it so far. It looks very good, the movement feels great, and combat feels improved over the first game.
I played the first couple hours of Asgard's Wrath 1 when it released on PC, and I didn't enjoy the combat much. I may go back after AW2 and try again to get into it.
I don't understand the low score from UploadVR. They didn't seem to have much to complain about in the review, but for a game this big, polished, and full of content, 3 stars seems harsh. Most other reviews I've seen have praised it as the best VR game to date.
Anyway, for my part, I'm impressed by what I've seen and I feel compelled to keep playing it. That's more than can be said for many of the games in my backlog, spanning PC, PCVR, and Quest. (I also have a backlog on Oculus Go, but I've accepted that I'm unlikely to ever tackle that one.)
100% did not like this game. Caveat is most likely based on my experience with the MQ3. Not a comfortable rest of my head very noticeable and distracting. I do like the hand tracking feature, but this game's graphics take me back to 1998 (many of the games seem to feature the same lack of visual excellence.)
Still unable to download the game for free even though I bought my quest 3 from new after tons of promotion that this game would be included. What a rip off
Rhy2911 it's awful seriously, trying to download this, spent tens of hrs doing so, crashes, start download again. Finally finished after wks.... Hooray right? Nooooooo as many others are saying across reddit etc the game crashes Everytime I try to launch it, have spent tens of hrs and don't have a single second of playtime. I have the 512 version as well with a few other games nowhere near capacity... What a disaster, now other small games won't even download, who QA'd any of this? There's so many ppl complaining about this same issue across the internet..
We still cannot download this. We bought a brand-new Quest 3 and it stills shows we have to buy it and no email. And we have opened a ticket with no response. And on WhatsApp support chat with no response.
