Having the user put virtual reality gear on that portrays the environment around the individual. Successfully accomplishing this by the highest quality compact camera streaming live footage into the users headset.
Also ear buds are used along with high quality microphone that pics up sound and relays it in the ear of the augmented VR user instantly.
Using the head set and ear phones together with live sounds and images, while the augmented program is running and changing the scenery around the individual by other cameras that are able to scan and change the scenery behind or to the side of the viewer before his oculus rift camera looks in that direction. Giving the illusion that things are there before you have time to react to them.
The augmented reality can be used in such a way like a haunted house, or paintball tournament or laser tag.
The whole ole goal should be to make the augmentations so good and realistic that whole new characters can be created out of people who are existing inside the gaming area, or out in public.
I imagine the VR set to be kinda like robo cops helmet and have an 4K to 8 K resolution on a flexible screen that wraps around your head for realistic peripheral vision.
I can imagine zombie attacks , and companies using scarecrow like stuffed dummies to take real life beatings from augmented VR users. But what is displaying before the eyes of the user is real zombies.
Another idea-, is to use it with the flying simulator. Blank out the entire environment and have a 100% simulated augmented experience where the flight in the game is directly linked with the speed of the fan blower speed and the falls feel real as well.
Another idea is to make a special scare tactic game. where it maps out all the carnival rides through augmentation trace mapping. So when you wear this in a park, sometime in the ride the VR shows Accidents about to happen or happening. Where it can look like you fly off the roller coaster tracks and land back on it. Etc.
Pokemon, or animal hunting or farming games. Can be used in parks or public forests. User can see animals in natural habitats.
You could have large gatherings of people who are also using the device and each person can have a custom identity created by the program. And also the event space can be brilliantly colourful and creatively detailed. So it makes hanging out in the park so much more epic!
