Bad Audio on certain Gear VR games

Hey everybody! Has anyone had any trouble with the audio on certain Gear VR games (Neverout, VR Karts Sprint, End Space, Finding VR right off the top of my head)? The games loads and it just sounds extremely distorted. No possible way I could listen to it for more than about 15 seconds. Not sure if its the game or my phone (note 5, 6.0.1).And it always happens the very first time I try to play the game. It is never good then all of a sudden the audio is screwed up. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Are you using headphones, or the phone's speaker? I assume you've checked if sound output is normal outside of VR? Is there a volume setting in the app which is turned way up and the normal audio setting is way down?
From your description it would seem to be a signal-to-noise ratio problem: distortion usually happens when the signal's input is too high before reaching the amplifier stage.

Hey Rob. Thanks for the input. I'm using bluetooth earbuds (LG Tone & Talk) mainly and sometimes I use earphones. I haven't checked the difference if any of the app sound level and phone sound level. Will try that next. It's just frustrating when you spend money on a game or app and it doesn't function properly. Same exacgt thing happened with Sky Fighter : Training Day last night. Hopefully it's an easy fix like you said with the difference in volume between the two. Thanks a lot!

You're welcome, bud. Do come back if you need more help, I'm sure there's someone around here with actual experience of GearVR!

unfortunately making sure both levels were the same at start didn't change the audio. I'll try uninstalling a few apps and install them again. See if that changes anything.

I know this is a little late but on the bad audio I was dealing with, I had the same problem with an app called notes on blindness, pretty cool experience if you haven't checked it out yet. Anyway the developer said instead of using bluetooth wireless earbuds just use the wired earphones that plug in and it worked fine. It did the same thing on all the other games as well. Just in case you run across that question again. Thanks!
