Hi all! We want to hear from you on how we can continue to improve MHCP to better support your success. To be clear, this isn't about Horizon feature requests or platform feedback, but rather your experience within MHCP experience and how we can help your creator journey.
Here is what we are looking for from you all:
Your feedback will help us shape the program moving forward and ensure we're providing the best possible support. We'll my synthesizing and sharing this feedback internally, so this is a great opportunity to have your voice heard.

Hey there... Will? Right? I can't remember since I can no longer read your name on Discord.
But hey, MisterOsiris,
I wanted to share some thoughts before I focus on something else. I only wish to share as it might help spark lead to a new original idea.
I've noticed growing support for creating worlds. What's working well is the flexibility of the tools and the community's creativity. What could be improved is faster access to solutions for editor-specific issues; perhaps a dedicated, searchable knowledge base could help.
The Meta Horizon Creator Program fosters a sense of community through its Discord server, forums, and events, allowing creators to connect, share feedback, and collaborate. This is amazing as it's a major source of inspiration and practical help.
Hands on resources resonate most with the creators I've met, including myself. More workshops or live Q&A sessions with experienced creators or Meta developers could help troubleshoot issues in real-time.
I believe Meta could create incentives or even offer positions for creators to produce more tutorial videos to upload here or on YouTube; this would go a long way. I've learned a lot from creators who take the time to share learning tutorials online. It might be an interesting idea to have an in-house team focused on common game mechanics, coding, and similar topics. These videos could be posted within the Meta Horizon Creator Program community or online for the general public to continue inspiring future creators.
From what I can see, Meta Horizon last posted tutorials on their YouTube channel two years ago. I'm assuming this was dedicated to current, new, and untapped world builders. With Meta aiming to grow, especially this year, it might be worth revisiting "consistent" video series focused on tutorials, common mistakes/issues, and coding. Many of us creators are willing to learn on our own, search the web, ask other creators for help, or pay for services. However, I'm sure there are others who work differently, especially those who haven't joined the community yet. They should be shown consistently how easy it can be to build a playable environment as first-timers, with some videos troubleshooting common issues to expedite their entry into game and world development. Also having someone or a team teaching consistently in video that can be rewind and played back can make others feel more inclined to learn. Some people I know, including myself and children, some learn better when they feel there is someone there guiding them, even if just a voice.
Most players within Meta Horizon are young and growing. With Meta thinking of the future, these children are playing on one of the first affordable headsets; they are growing up with this technology. Let's show and inspire them—"the public"—more about creativity, new possibilities for creative endeavors, and tell them it's easier than one thinks; keep showing them how. More creators might mean more players, and more player can lead to more creators. Also, just a thought, remind people that Meta Horizon incorporates more than just "game development" talent. People who draw can have their art placed in a world; people who sing and make music can be placed within a world. Voice actors, set designers, writers—Meta should consider pushing further with other creators and their art forms. Every filmmaker, singer, graphic designer, actor, etc., can play a role within Meta Horizon's "Entertainment Industry." Emphasizing the continued execution of all forms of artists and their art can lead to an expansion of creators and players and even spark interest. This all should tie back to MHCP. I spent 3.5 years focused on film entertainment. I'll tell you, I never thought my work as a filmmaker, entertainer, or producer would be just as valuable in game building or world building. But it is. I don't believe others who haven't dipped their toes into Meta's VR realize that.
Quick side note, too—maybe not related, but I figured I'd share. It would be really amazing if Best Buy had a more hands-on play area with the Meta Quest, allowing people to truly experience playability on the Quest instead of just watching a video; it might tickle their fun bone. Advertise the MHCP more, advertise potential growth for all artists and their art— we all are aware and also know this, the more players inside Meta Horizon will help grow the members in MHCP, which will further develop our experience and journey within the MHCP.
I hope some of this helps in anyway, thanks for asking the question. I really should be eating lunch though, so until next time 🙂
Cheers!

I think some mobile focused Typescript workshops would be a great help to many.
ALSO - Maybe a monthly bounty for those that put out quality tutorial content online-
Since everyone has access to new tools, creators that have experience and can convey good instructions and how to's would help all newcomers grow from different videos and creators on youtube. Just a thought or Idea Like if you put 10 pieces of video content a month 10+ minutes each you get a set amount bounty. People can sign up for it or be vetted by MHCP by past work or must meet a standard before able to enroll into bounty.
I already plan to release content but maybe this would motivate others to teach what they have learned and add to the library of learning content that is easily accessible online.

1. Bring back IT tickets in discord back. So the bugs can resolve sooner.
2. Better ways to search problems and locate the answer/solution, as a whole is a huge problem.
3. Videos of step by step instructions and written step by step instructions are the way I learn new skills best.
4. We need some sort of way to escalate issue we experience to IT faster. We cant be sitting around hoping something will get fixed next patch. That is turn reflects badly directly on the creator. The player does not understand or care if the problem cannot be solved by us the creators or not. Meta needs to be there for us fast to resolve bugs affecting our world or the game as a whole.

I posted this in Discord, but I think it got lost in the chat.
I am mainly a scripter and teacher. Most of my time is spent on other creators' worlds. It can be difficult to track success since I am not the world creator. Not sure if Meta could do anything about that, I think that would be between the creator and myself. However, since I am a scripter and teacher any resources that I can use to better help the community.

I learned a lot from the workshops and met people I never knew that was around in horizon it definitely, pushed my profession and professional perspective in so much . One thing I wasn’t to fond about was the new people who onboarded in Sept - Dec didn’t get to be in the program for too long until the original discord was shut down I feel like the new wave of people between that those months should of been moved in as partners especially the people who go all in for horizon and changed a lot of their views & best practices.
other feed back is to have more access to be able to go in depth with some features and not have selected people when you know a lot to most people have strong knowledge to be beneficial

Hello,
Personally, I think bringing workshops back to Discord is a lot more user friendly. Having them in discord felt more welcoming to me. I don't find zoom to be as "warm". At least with the discord, i can mute the hearing/headphones in the case I have to answer a call and can't listen in at the moment. I also liked that when the workshops were done, if people had more questions and wanted to talk more, they would just stay there or move to one of the other talk channels. With zoom, once you log out, you lose that momentum and many people disappear. There's a disconnect there.
With that said, i feel that there may be an educational gap in the lack of accessibility to workshops for more creators, partners and members alike. There are some workshops (if not all) that would benefit creators in general. It would help elevate those who truly want to learn and grow their skills. Finding that happy medium and finding a place for that is important.
As for program benefits, I love the challenges, however, it would be really great in some cases to have short video tutorials to follow along to. Maybe having a "build this like this" video shared with the challenge. A great example was SpaceGlitter's Axe video for that challenge. It was nice to be able to watch and pause her video and rewind when i needed to as I built my axe. That video alone helped me tremendously in my 3D journey. I would love to see the same thing with TypeScript challenges. It would be a great way to learn TS as well.
For greater support, it would be amazing to have clearer guidelines for optimization when building a world. Besides aesthetics and mechanics, performance is crucial for player experience. It's so difficult to go into worlds and crash right away because they're not optimized. I don't want that for my world or any other world. Makes me not want to go back. I want to know, best ways to optimize and streamline so that my visitors have memorable experiences.
In all, anything that helps creators excel is a win.

Hi, I'm new to this, and still learning the basic tools, in starting to dabble in the 3D modeling. One thing I think would be very helpful would be like a PDF cheat sheets. There's so much to learn so many tools cheat sheetswith the essentials, and the absolute need to know would be extremely helpful for persons like myself who are completely new to creating in Horizon World. This is probably a long shot but there are a lot of times I have free time but not time where I can be on my headset or even on the computer. But time I could be reading, and studying I really wish There was a Creating in Horizon World For Dummies. Book 😄. I could read it while I'm cooking dinner, on my brakes, waiting in the doctor's office, (sigh) It would go everywhere with me 😊
