Hi everyone! I’m Reina Shah and I currently manage Entertainment content at Oculus. Prior to joining Oculus, I spent 10 years in gaming- from financing FB and mobile game companies, to user acquisition for social and mobile titles, and most recently I managed BD for Unity’s Cloud Services division.

Fun Fact: I’ve completed at least one hike in 46 different countries.

Hello all! I’m Gabor Szauer, I'm a developer relations engineer at Oculus. I support developers targeting mobile platforms like Gear VR and Oculus Go. If you have technical or performance related questions, I’m the guy. In my spare time, I also make video games and have written several publications for game development.

Fun fact: Gabor collects novelty USB drives

@devPuppy
Gabor: There is not. An efforts to do this would involve running the game logic on the developer machine and streaming updated data to some remote application. This wouldn't be a great solution, as you would not have a good performance metric.

Gabor: Two Oculus Go's can communicate over WIFI. Experiences like Settlers of Catan can be played in the same space, or remotely.

@pekayatt Gabor: Dash is the name for Rift's universal menu. It is not available on mobile platforms.

Just understand it as the Oculus Home, or whatever appears when I put the device on my face :smile:
Thanks,

Gabor: There is no SD card slot. You can connect to the device with ADB. ADB connections can be wired or wireless. https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/mobilesdk/latest/concepts/mobile-adb/#mobile-android-debu...

Gabor: There is not, I don't know if this is on the roadmap or not.

Gabor: My favorite thing about Oculus Go is the panels. Unlike other headsets, the lcd panel in Oculus Go doesn't have the two frame rise issue, which eliminates a lot of ghosting seen on other headsets.

Reina: From the ground up we've designed the headset to work for as many people as possible, and I think our approach is pretty unique. For example, the straps are stretchy and adjustable so they can accommodate a wide variety of hair styles or coverings. People who wear glasses can use the included spacer or order prescription lenses to add to their device. We want everyone to enjoy Oculus Go!

Reina: When you submit an app to our Store QA, you can pick what devices you support. It's totally fine if you only want to support Oculus Go, but of course we'd love apps across all our platforms. To get an idea for which devices to optimize for, check out our hardware reports page here: https://developer.oculus.com/blog/new-oculus-platform-stats-introducing-hardware-reports/
