i was always missing some puzzle games in VR and something that would go directly to core gameplay. Such as Flow Free on mobile. Not hard enough to be only for hardcore puzzle fans, but that can be enjoyed by everyone.
Target platforms: Rift, Quest and any other 6dof mobile / tethered headset with 6dof input
The concept You start with physics disabled and place bricks into level. Then hit play button, where you can no longer interact. You have a ball that needs to reach a goal by using the bricks you place.
State
I've started working on it in September as a passion project, but i really like the way things are turning out. The actual build is Prototype II, where we have right look implemented (a lot of things are still placeholders) and 9 levels completed that are using 5 Bricks and are looking for playtesting and feedback from community to understand where to go next. The UX is also working to some extent.
Future
Puzzle games require a lot playtesting to make sure it remains challenging and fun, so it's hard to predict development time until we're happy with the outcome. Our internal plan is to be ready for Quest launch. We'd like to have somewhere between 50-100 puzzles in final game. While actual bricks are vey straightforward we plan to implement more complex ones, such as triggerable doors, force fields and so on in the future.
Controls Object you can place are on the front border of playground. Simply grab them with grab button and place them into map.
You can rotate object using Thumbstick
