Ready to take your 3D modeling skills to the next level? In this challenge, you'll create your very own axe model from scratch! Follow the provided tutorial link to model an axe, then import it into the desktop editor to showcase your work.

Thanks! I had fun trying to make this axe! I laughed at myself when I was trying to make the actual axe part though. 😄 - Everyone did an awesome job on their axes! I like all of them!

A tad late to this, but I wanted to share my take on this exercise:
Is 563 tri reasonable?
Haven't had the opportunity to import into the Desktop Editor (On Mac for now!), but I intend to in the future.

Are there any best practice numbers on polycount for various 3D assets? I'm somewhat familiar with balancing overall world polycount with objects, but for props/outfits/etc., what's a good ballpark?

I managed to make my entire world as a single fbx, textured with your clever MEO atlas image. This was a very interesting workflow and I learned a lot! One improvement I would suggest if possible is to add shades of grey, so for instance artists could make grey metal axe blades. I tried to modify your images myself but was unable to figure it out. Thanks again for a great tutorial!
