Meta Move has no more option connect to apple health

Everything was working fine until 20 September. When I open Move application I found that Apple health slider is off and not active. I try to reinstall Meta Horizon and apple health option disappeared atoll after that. Apple  health app can see Horizon and allowed data but these data doesn't come from the Move. See screenshots

How can I restore the apple health connection?

Hey @SerhioN1,

Welcome to the Meta Community Forums!

I no longer have this option on my phone either, it seems to be occurring for everyone following the latest IOS update. The only help I can provide at the minute is to submit a Bug Report letting Meta know of the issue within the app specifically, the steps to do this can be found at this link!

Have a great day!

I really hope they haven’t intentionally remove support for Apple Health, because if they have, I will be returning the headset to Amazon.

I’m sick of this company removing features that make me love the device, its getting old now

Apple health slider is missing

Exact same problem. This is ridiculous. Meta needs to get their app updated!!

Has nothing to do with iOS.

On September 26th or so, my Move data stopped sync'ing to my Apple Health app. When i checked the Move settings in the Meta app, the option to toggle Apple Health was still there, but grayed out with the message that "Apple Health is currently unavailable." I've attached a picture. I put in a ticket with Meta and continually received instructions back on how to enable sync'ing to Apple Health.

A couple of days later, there was a Meta app update that I hoped fixed this issue, but instead I found that the toggle was removed entirely and under Connected Apps is nothing but blank space as shown in images from other people here.

I've submitted tickets and was eventually told to put in a Bug Report inside the headset so the engineers would see this. I don't think it's a bug though because it not only has been removed from the mobile app but if you go into the Headset, open the Move app and go to Settings, there is no ability to connect the Move data to anything anymore so the feature has been removed.

A real shame as I used this every single day and workout mostly in VR.

Yeah same thing for me too. The only reason I use quest is for my work out and see that in my apple fitness. I will wait for few more weeks and if it is not getting updated Iam going to sell my quest.

Hey there, @jumanjies.2022 and welcome to the community forums!

The issue is currently being looked into by the engineers but there isn't an update at the moment. The best thing to do would be to go ahead and raise a bug report 🐛 This will give the tech overlords more information to go off to help it get fixed quicker 🙂

I appreciate your reply but the way this played out seems more in line with the feature being removed. If it was a bug, the option to connect to Apple Health would still be available but not working. But in this situation it was working, then it was grayed out and unavailable, then the toggle and all reference to Apple Health were removed from the app. Interestingly enough, this change happened at the beginning of a month which doesn't sound good for those of us that rely on this as it fits with a sunsetting support scenario.

If the feature was removed and we will not be getting it back, please just tell us that so we won't be checking our mobile devices daily for app updates and install them with high hopes that Apple Health will be put back. I'm not sure you understand how critical this feature was for those of us with Apple watches and who use the Quest daily for long exercise sessions. I have no way to push my Meta data to my device and have progress tracked in one place anymore. At the very least, if the ability to do this was going to be removed, giving notice that as of 10/1/24, we'd be no longer to sync to Apple Health, it would have been a crushing blow, but the lack of information provided both a crushing blow and an awful surprise.

I can certainly understand how this isn't the Meta experience you expect and I thank you for raising your concerns.

There haven't been any announcements to say it has/will be removed and the engineers are actively looking into the issues you've raised so it doesn't seem to be removed by design. In fact, this Move article that was last edited 4 weeks ago still provides the process for linking to Apple Health. If this feature was removed then this section of the article would have been edited to say it's not possible anymore or omitted entirely.

I appreciate your patience with this so far. I'd just need to ask for your continued patience while the tech team look into this. I'll provide any updates on this thread 🙂
