NOT A SOLUTION - MARKING FOR VISABILITY
Hey guys! I wanted to let you know that I've been talking with our engineers for a while about this issue. They recommend that you reach out to support so you can see what replacement options might be available for you. I know this is not the ideal solution you were hoping for, but this may be able to help with re-aligning the controllers for your Quest 3's. If you follow this link, then follow the steps that best describe this issue, and you'll be able to send an email, chat, or WhatsApp message to support.

Hey there, @raygon2000. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention! While hate to hear you're having an issue being able to enjoy your games while using your controllers, we'd love to get you up and running smoothly!
To get started, we'd like to refresh the controllers by resetting them:
Let us know if this works for you. We'll be looking forward to hearing back from you on this.

Hello, I also have the same issue with my Quest 3 controllers.
They point "outwards" by about 15 degrees from where hand naturally points, and as it would in my Quest 2. I swap between headsets and notice an immediate difference. I used Open XR settings to apply a -15 degree rotation correction in PCVR to get my Quest 3 controllers to feel and align naturally like my Quest 2 controllers do.
I've tried the supplied instructions above, factory reset, removed battery, unpaired and repaired.

I have the same problem with the quest 3 controllers. When playing PCVR games using Airlink or Virtual Desktop, as well as when playing standalone meta quest games such as Onward, the in-game controller direction is rotated out about 20 degrees laterally from where it should be. This makes it hard to use a gunstock in Onward. Please fix it or allow us to modify it.

Whenever I play a shooter on the quest 3 the controller angle seems to be off when pointing the gun straight forward as you would hold/point a gun in reality. It is not up or down but to the side (I am a lefty and in a regular gun holding position the virtual gun points to the left instead of straight).
Any recommendations how to solve this?

Hey guys, could you confirm if you're both still having this issue? If you still do notice any issues with the controller, then I suggest reaching out to MetaQuestSupport via PM. They'll be able to assist further with troubleshooting and any other possibilities.

I'm right-handed, and I feel like I'm holding the gun to the right, and I feel like the controller is pointing differently than before.

Yeah, I'm definitely having this issue too. It feels like you should be aiming straight but 100% has a right bias by about 10 or 15 degrees. Playing standalone Pavlov or Ghost of Tabor and also on PCVR
