Solved! Go to Solution.

I've been back & forth with Meta support all day, and they've finally agreed to escalate the issue with their 'Senior Specialist' team, and will get back to me in 3 - 5 days.
They wanted me to send my headset back for replacement, but before doing that I asked them to open a brand new Quest 3 headset and check it out themselves to see if the issue exists with that! 🙂
I'll let you people know what comes of that when they get back to me.
Tom.

Still talking to meta “support”. This was their last message after me sending them all the links of other users having the same problem
”Unfortunately, we do not have developers on our team who can make adjustments to game features. The best way to address this would be to continue reaching out to the game’s development team through the same channels you’ve previously used. They would be the most appropriate resource for suggestions or potential updates.
We recommend checking the official support pages, community forums, or any available contact options provided by the developers for further assistance. “
Sounds like they don’t care to do anything about it

This shows whoever you were talking to doesn't understand the problem. (Or might be a bot, who knows these days) Meta broke compatibility with all of their previous headsets by changing how the orientation of Touch Pro and Touch Plus controllers are returned by the OS.
The one thing we can hope for is that future games made for the Quest 3 and 3S will take this into account and they adjust the transform of the controller to compensate. (Incredibly easy in Unity, probably in Unreal too but I don't use it)
PCVR could do this too, even SteamVR games could detect Quest 3/3S and adjust the aim, but how many PCVR devs are even aware? If they play test on a Quest 2 and assume Quest 3 works the same, it won't be obvious.

I’m glad you still have optimism but they aren’t going to do anything. They don’t have anyone working there that will actually look or care about this we have all done the support route a year ago and I assume everyone says the same thing to them “check it yourself“. It doesn’t make any difference I don’t think they actually have any direct contact with actual “engineers “ they just have a response page that lists answers to simple questions but if the answer isn’t on there it says return headset

Haha yeah. That’s the response I expect Absolutely No idea what the problem is and unwilling to spend 1 minute checking a headset to see for themselves

I feel like I’m losing my mind. I keep telling myself it’s a learning curve and I have to shoot two feet down and 5 feet to the left to hit anything. It’s kind of a miserable experience.
For comparison I hopped back on a friend’s quest 2 and it’s perfectly aligned.
it’s a system level problem, not just bonelab and saints/sinners. You can even notice it in the meta first encounters MR demo
My friend (who’s played vr before) said it’s so jarring it just makes me put it down after 10 min and want to do something else. It’s like a stormtrooper training sim that makes your real aim worse”

You guys were right, in the end they acknowledge they have no wayto contact developer support and closed my case.
They told me to try these forums, lol! So I opened a new thread here:
Maybe if everyone who has the issue made their own new thread, they're soon see just how many people are affected by it, and so something about it?
We'll see!
Tom.

I also opened a new thread, everyone should do it and swarm the forum, maybe then they will start to listen. (btw this was my last meta headset)
