10-12yr old acct for Quest 3 headache

This morning I received an email about my kid's Quest 3 being used by someone 10-12 (he's 10). This is the very short version of events as this process so far has taken almost 2 hours.

It said I needed to create an account for him, so I did.  Then it said I needed to log into a parent account. I entered the original account details since I have created his separate child's account.  When I tried, it said it couldn't find an account with that email (funny since he was just using it earlier).  I decided to just create a new acct using that email since I was told one doesn't exist.  Guess what? "an account is already using this email" 🤦.  Back and forth with this for about 30 minutes before I decide to just create a new acct with my FB acct I rarely use.  That worked, amazingly.  Then it says "now let's set up your child's acct".  Wth, we already did that!  That's how I got to this point 😫.  I decided to just go back to step one and walked through all of it again and finally got it to go through. Then I had to put in my credit card information to continue (something I was very weary of but did against my better judgements).  Next, it wants a code sent to the Quest headset.  Take a wild guess...there is no code.  There is no option on the screen asking for that code for "I did not receive a code".  There is no option for assistant chat to help.  There is no option to contact any type of customer support.  There is nothing, just a screen looking back asking for a code I do not have. 

 

Has anyone had to deal with this absolute ridiculous, time consuming, error-riddled, headache of a process that could help me out? 

 

I'm very close to throwing the Quest in the trash and buying a Pico 4 Ultra 😑
