I recently obtained an Oculus Quest 2 (says Oculus, not the meta logo) from a family member that thought it didn't work anymore cause batteries weren't charging anymore in the controllers. I took it off their hands and put in fresh batteries. Controller batteries at 100%, VR Headset at 100% after charging for 2.5hrs and it gives me 2-3hr playtime when I've researched and said it should last for 10hrs playtime in certain circumstances. I don't have a set game right now but it's just been Meta Horizon stuff and VRChat.
My question/problem being; how can I get more playtime without adjusting settings? I'm using my phones wall charger with a usb a to usb c cable as the anker dock and usb to usb c pc charging seems to go very fast in like 30-45mins but when I turn on the headset, it doesn't stay on for even a second after booting up. I could keep it plugged in sure, however it'll still discharge faster when I'm using it which sure is probably normal. I'm new to VR, I should've led with that.
TL;DR - much shorter playtime than advertised, how to enhance playtime? Newbie to VR, quick learner.
