We first had a controller issue in September 2024, it was replaced in October with a refurbished unit. This has now gone faulty again and does not even turn on. I done all the trouble shooting and nothing works. I contacted online support and was told they only have a 3 month warranty and I would need to to purchase a new one for £50, however this would be another 3 month warranty refurbished item. I advised them that this is the second time we have had this issue and it is obviously a known fault as the message board are full of people complaining about this. Also thr same fault on 2 separate controllers within 9 months. I tried to escalate my complaint and was told there is no formal complaint procedure and I would need to to post on the forums, I asked for a copy of their complaints procedure again was told they don't have one. That is crazy a multi million pound company has no way to deal with complaints.
I'm not happy to purchase a refurbished product when it only had a 3 month warranty and with no reassurance that this issue won't happen again. If I does I am forced for pay again out of pocket for another controller.
This item was not fit for purpose as under the sales of goods act they are expected to last a reasonable time. I do not call 6 months a reasonable time for an essential piece of hardware. Meta should be doing better by it's customers and replacing these products free of charge as this is a known fault
