3 Dots when trying to load Oculus Link

Hey, I've been using my Quest 2 with Oculus Link for close to 6 months now with great success, but as of recently I can no longer access Oculus Link at all, instead being met with the dreaded 3 dots.

System Specs:

  • Ryzen 5 5600G (Integrated Graphics were disabled in BIOS, so that's not the issue)
  • RX 580 8GB (A bit on the low end but it's on the Compatibility Chart and it's been working up until now)
  • 32GB DDR-3200
  • KIWI Design cable (also not the issue, I've been using this cable since I got this PC and it's been working wonderfully up until now)

What I've Tried:

  • Reinstalling Graphics Drivers
  • Downgrading Graphics Drivers
  • Using Airlink instead of a Link Cable
  • Repairing the app in the installer
  • Switching to the Oculus PC App's PTB
  • Factory Resetting my Quest

None of these things have fixed the issue. Any other ideas?

Update: I have now tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the Oculus PC app (including deleting all of the various AppData oculus directories) to no avail.

We see that you are having a little bit of trouble with PCVR @SlipsIsTaken not to worry, were gonna help you figure this out. When you say that you disabled the iGPU, do you mean that you set it as a dedicated processing unit? We can also try setting the priority to high performance" to see if that might change anything. You can manually set the process priority to see if this will automatically assign the process high performance.

  • Open Task Manager
  • Go to the Details tab
  • Find OVRServer_x64.exe
  • Right click on it and select Set Priority
  • Set this priority to High
  • Repeat steps 4 - 6 for VirtualDesktop.streamer.exe

Also having the same issue 😞 Win10 latest update. AND I want to point out that it is NOT the cable and NOT the connection because I can play my SteamVR games just fine when I use OculusKiller from GitHub!! What is going on?
