last night I was working on unity,about around the middle of the day I got on my Oculus to test an avatar on VRChat,everything was fine and I've had no updates or anything that should've broken anything,I try to get on a bit late last night and it suddenly stopped working,I unplugged my Oculus and went to bed,when I had it on though strangely enough it would be detected as working and I could hear the audio of Oculus home and etc and even the controllers worked but the Headset itself won't turn on the display despite having the white light,I wake up today and plug it back in and it does the same thing the strange thing is it heats up on the top of the headset and doesn't turn on the display whilst still working,tried updating my graphics card and did nothing,I tried restarting and everything,re-installing the app and all,is there any way to fix this?I don't want to have to buy another headset for seemingly no reason

Hey @MusiKanna, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. If you haven't already, please try removing the headset cable and re-connecting it to your headset. You'll need to remove the facial interface in order to access it. While it is removed, check to see if any of pins are bent or damaged. If you need more help, please contact support here with your Oculus Diagnostic logs. Thanks! -Rick

@OculusSupport

I tried and removed the cable,it didn't have any visible damage from what I saw and I tried following the steps in the oculus diagnostics logs and I don't see anything at all so I don't know how to get the logs,also the headset cable heats up badly,I plugged it in for like 20 seconds took it out and both the center of the headset alongside the metal on the end of the headset cable were quite hot,I had accidentally dropped my Oculus about a day or two prior to it suddenly stopping working and all it did was turn one lense green and glitched and all I did was reconnect the HDMI,Could I have possibly damaged the headset even though it started working just fine after?

I think I'll just completely unplug it and let it chill for a day or two,not sure what to do here

Hi @MusiKanna, it's definitely possible that your headset was damaged from the drop. If you haven't already, please make sure that you contact support and submit a support ticket even if you're having issues gathering the logs. Thanks! -Rick
