Hello,
I've the weirdest issue and it suddenly (well, at least I don't know what's causing it) appeared: ASW is triggering horrible artifacts, mostly on plain background.
Video of the issue:
- It happens on every game I've tried. It also happens on the PCVR Oculus Dashboard.
- This is not a framerate issue.
- It happens mainly on plain backgrounds and a lot less when there is details.
- It happens only with my 4090. If I put my 3090 back, the issue is gone.
Quest 2 (Link or Airlink)
4090 RTX with 526.86 drivers
Oculus software 46.0.0.230.0 (46.0.0.229.0)
Could you guys tell me if this is an issue on my side or if ASW is actually broken? Could be an Nvidia driver issue, Oculus software issue, I really don't know so I'd like some support from Oculus Team.
@MetaQuestSupport Have you guys ever seen this or got reports about a similar issue?

My headset and my Oculus Software are on 57 and there's no update available yet. I'll get back to you as soon as I get them.

I got the updates today, and the same issue still occurs.
Oculus software: 59.0.0.138.366 (59.0.0.138.366)
Quest 3: 59.0.0.163.706.533208642, runtime 59.0.0.162.706.533208878
I know they're aware of the issue but did they manage to repro it on their side?

Hey hey, the engineering team has let me know that they want to look further into this so they recommend reaching out to the support team. This way they can get any information they may be missing from your logs. I would also suggest listing out everything that's been attempted already so that they can move a bit quicker towards a solution for you.

Thanks for keeping me updated on this issue. I already reported the issue through the link you gave me, I also did it through my headset but I never heard back from the support, I actually never even got a confirmation email, a ticket number or anything related to my reports.
I'm willing to provide all the logs and information that could be of use especially because it is not affecting all 40x RTX series owners. Some 4090 owners told me that their ASW was working just fine but since I formatted my hard drive, only installed Oculus Software and the issue was still present, I can say that this is not a configuration issue on my end. Might be an specific issue with Gainward graphic cards as well, I don't know.
Anyway, I'll send a new report straight away.
EDIT: Report sent! I got a confirmation email this time so I hope they'll come back to me with their needs. 🤞

I'm not, this is a NVMe SSD but I'm used to say Hard Drive.

Soooo Meta Support has been quite useless so far as they asked me to do totally irrelevant things on my side.
For example, they asked me to raise the Virtual Desktop Server priority to High... What?? My issue has nothing do to with VD and VD doesn't use ASW anyway. 😂
I asked them to raise my ticket because only devs/engineers can figure out what's going on. Fingers crossed. 🤞🤞🤞

I contacted support 6 month ago about this issue. After a long back and forth all i got was that my 13700k would be too slow for the 4090 and i should consider an upgrade. The person on the other side was very nice and tried to help, but was not very tech savvy. I hope you'll get further than me.
