So after the launch of the Crimson ReLive driver some guys on reddit posted, that ASW is working now, at least on Fiji based cards (Fury Series + Nano). I just tried P:cars a minute ago and I noticed, that the game is stuck @45 FPS. I anyway got nauseas as before and ended the short session immediately. I dug in the logs to see if ASW is actually kicking in or not and found a Warning
[ASW:FrameEstimator] Extratrapolation thread failed, stopping ASW operation. Error: Unable run ASW for left eye
Could someone from Oculus tell me what's up with ASW and AMD? Is it supposed to be working, or is it still WIP?
On my 295x2 it dramatically increases performance with it off 80-90 fps. If you have a high end card I recommend it otherwise it's 45 fps drop for no apparent reason.Asw I think is a great feature where the card is low end GPU.
