Absolutely appalled

I was playing some beat saber today, after one song I heard the doorbell, took the headset off, when I came back I couldn't play anymore. The headset basically lost tracking and there was a message on screen "finding position in room". I figured it's no big deal and just did a hard restart - but the message was still there. I did a factory restart - still there. I updated the software from the help center - still there.

After an extremely infuriating conversation with support where they kept suggesting things for me to do in the headset (which I can't because the thing isn't working!) I basically learned that there is nothing that can be done. Furthermore I'm not in one of the supported countries (I'm in South Africa), so that's kinda it - my headset is dead and there's nothing I can do about it. With the exchange rate in import duties and everything this was really an expensive item for me to get and I can't believe the lack of support from Meta. It's beyond shocking and disappointing. I was really an advocate for VR in general and Meta in particular, but now I doubt I'll ever get into it again.
