Accidentally put in the wrong age on account.

Hello I am trying to help my son fix a mistake he made when we made his account on the Meta Quest 2, we accidentally put in the wrong birth year. He was trying to buy a game last night and it said he couldn't without parental permission. So I had him send me the link and it said I couldn't send the link to myself. We are so lost and he's getting frustrated. If someone from the oculus team could please help us figure this out, it would be great thank you.

Hey there, @FortniteGod0552! We hate to see that you are having problems with your son's account showing the wrong date of birth. We know how important it is to have our account information correct in order to play the games we want on our accounts, and we're happy to look into this issue further through our support page. Once there, we will have more tools available to better assist you with your son's account! 

 

After you click the link, follow these steps:

 

  1. Click on the Accounts icon.
  2. Next, click on "Help with Meta Accounts."
  3. Then click on "I have an issue with my Meta account."
  4. Then click the blue button that says, "This does not solve my issue."
  5. After that, you will be able to send an email to our support team, who will be able to better assist you with your son's account.

hey oculus. there’s a mistake with my age. my friend was on my oculus playing roblox and it wouldn’t let her scroll for the year, month, or day. so, she put the year as 2015. so she accidentally put my birth year as 2015. i’m getting suspended tomorrow. if you could help, that would be great thank you so much!

Hey there, @peytonf.2013, and thanks for reaching out to the community! We understand mistakes happen with the excitement of getting started in VR, so we'd love to work with you to make sure you're able to have the proper documents submitted for the account to be recovered.

With the account suspension notice, an email should have been received to submit documents for our Specialists to further review the account. If there are any issues doing so, we do recommend accessing the link from a new web browser with Cache and Cookies cleared. Next, test connecting to a new Wi-Fi network or Hotspot. Lastly, to make sure the proper documents are submitted, please visit our Meta Store Help Center here. We want to make sure you're on the right path to get back into VR!
