Account Hacked and now Suspended?

I recently went through this experience. My account was hacked, and the individual replaced my Instagram account in the account center with their own. This led to my Facebook and Meta accounts being suspended. The only way I found to contact support was by signing up for the verification subscription through my Instagram account.

Using the enhanced support feature, I was able to explain my issue, and within a day, my Facebook account was restored. However, it took two weeks of back-and-forth messages, repetitive questions, and uploading the same screenshots over and over before I could even begin to access my Meta account again. It was incredibly frustrating.

I started to believe that the support teams at Facebook and Instagram were either completely incompetent or just AI chatbots. They wouldn’t respond to anything unrelated to the issue at hand—no small talk, no acknowledgment of unrelated questions. It wasn’t until I created a second Meta account and reached out via DM to the forum here that I finally got the help I needed to remove the suspension and regain access to my account.

Honestly, I’m convinced that Meta has cut corners by replacing most human support staff with AI, leaving only a few people to train and maintain the bots. What’s worse is that you have to pay for verification just to access support. Without it, you’re stuck with endless FAQs that lead you in circles.

That said, the Meta Community support team here seems legit—and it’s free! Just DM them your issue. I hope this helps anyone dealing with the same problem!

How can we DM the Meta Community support team?
Same thing happened to me! I can't find a way to contact Instagram or Facebook. My three business accounts were wrongfully disabled even though I sent ID verification, confirmed my email/phone and used the right password. Im at a loss! This is beyond frustrating considering how much work I've put into each account and have never violated any of the terms and condtions.

Thank you for your patience and awaiting our reply, we have reviewed your issue and in this instance we cannot assist you as the issue is solely with your Instagram account.

 

Meta Quest Support can only access/support Meta/Meta Horizon accounts and Meta Quest devices we have no way of checking over Instagram accounts or Instagram account suspension appeals as we simply lack the access to do so.

 

You would need to go via the their help center for further assistance, we have also attached the business account support center for you to take a look at as well.

This response isn't helpful. All of the links mentioned aren't helpful. There's no way to get in contact with an actual person. My accounts were wrongfully banned and no reason was given. The links don't mention how to appeal or who to send an email to.  How can a loyal customer with no history of wrongdoing all of sudden be booted? And when I tried to verify it didnt even take me legtitamte documents. This is a meta related forum. Please advise

We understand your frustration but in this instance where a Meta/Meta Horizon account are not involved and it is just purely an issue with your Instagram account it is impossible for us to look into this as we have no way to access Instagram accounts, queries or appeals.

 

We would only be able to re-direct you to their help centers as we do not have a way to transfer you to speak to someone from Instagram as all of their support goes via their help centers.

My Instagram was hacked, with two unauthorized Facebook accounts added to my Accounts Center, locking me out. Thousands of followers are being scammed via my profile. I contacted Meta Support a while ago and I’m disappointed to have heard nothing back ever since. I’d think it’s also in Meta’s interest to keep wrongdoers off the platform, protect their community, and have active users—not only like me but others too who recognize themselves as such—contributing positively, not silenced by hackers. Is Support delayed? I need urgent help to remove these accounts and stop the scams. Can Meta fast-track this?
