My son got a metaquest 2 last year and set up his own account (yes I now understand the ignorance of that choice). Also, I won’t allow him to have his own Facebook account, so he used mine. Which I’m fine with. Everything was fine and then he received a notification that he needed to confirm his birthdate by sending proof to meta. Obviously, he isn’t old enough to have an ID. In the meantime, I tried to change his admin account to me, the parent, but you can’t do that. To complicate things, he got the new Meta3 for Christmas, I created a new email and Facebook account (for me the parent) and tried to set up the new metaquest 3 under that account, but it automatically linked to the original account (his underage account). So now we’re stuck, with his account set to be suspended and or deleted on the 29th of December. I’m so frustrated, I’ve spent way too much time in the metaverse LOOP of ridiculousness is there anyone who can help?

Thank you for that suggestion. I’ll try that also. Though based on the endless loops within the support system, I’m not too sure. I may just return his new Metaquest 3 and get him a different VR headset. This is just way too much trouble and effort.

I'm having the same issue with my son. How do I get help with this? The send message to @MetaQuestSupport doesn't work bc that address never populates.

I'm not sure, what's wrong, you should get this after clicking the "send a message" button.

As with everything meta related account.,far to complicated, we have no way of providing id , I've opened a child's bank account with less fuss.
As far as I'm concerned meta should be refunding oculus head sets as they won't be fit for purpose once they delete my child's account.
I will advise any parent that will listen Not to purchase this set up.
