So I bought a second Oculus 3 so my boys can play together using one account. I followed the instructions, created a 2nd FB account just for this, created a 2nd meta account for the 2nd player. Followed all instructions on meta site (if you can call them instructions. Mainly just links to other pages or posts) and now have 2 identical headsets with the same primary user, both headsets have the new account listed but as 2nd accounts for the primary. Meaning it was a total waste of time and money buying a 2nd headset? Have I missed something or am I just expected to run multiple accounts and pay for each just so we can play 2 player? I have spent so many hours trying to sort this im ready to throw in the towel and return the new one for a refund and sell the other and replace them with Playstation VRs or similar!
Zero customer support or actual instructions. Just lots of vague ideas thrown out there and links that usually dont work or are totally irrelavent or just send you in circles!
If anyone knows a reasonable solution im all ears, if not i'm done with them for good.

I'm not exactly sure what's your goal? Sharing apps? Playing multiplay games together?
To share games, one account needs to be admin on both headsets (like you did it).
On one headset you have to turn on app sharing....this is the one that will used by the secondary account.
Unfortunately, playing multiplayer games together mostly don't work with shared games.
If your boys want to play for example beat saber against/together, each must have his own game copy.
