After V76 release, Quest pro's download speed is capped to 200Mbps

So after V76 update it seems the download speed is capped around 200Mbps and 6Ghz connection is unstable as well

I've tested on both Wifi 6 router and Wifi 6e routers and both performed simular result

I've also done some LAN connection test from my PC to Quest Pro

On the picture is side by side comparison of Quest Pro V76 and iPhone 15 Pro max connecting to my PC via a Wifi6e router with 1Gbps LAN port under the same internet environment

This is an unresolved issue.
It appears to have reached 400 Mbps, but it takes time to actually reach 400 Mbps. However, it seems to be slightly improved from the initial version.
However, as others have explained, the difference between upload and download speeds is still too large.

PC using a 2.5G LAN, and I also tested it on an iPhone to confirm that there were no problems with the Wi-Fi.

I'm also having this issue. My wireless performance on the Quest Pro has been shocking for around 3 weeks now, assumed the issue was something going on with my internal network (nothing changed so it shouldn't have), but after looking on here I realised it started around when my headset updated to V76.

Can confirm the issue still exists and im capped at 200mbps

same issue since V76 and some small stutters

Issue is still unresolved as of the latest update v76.1024 build 5076098.7860.340.  Local network download speed is still capped out at around 400mbps, and it is significantly slower than the upload speed when they should be similar.  Reported in-headset also, as always.

@Bobby_Vtb  As I mentioned the the ptc v76 thread;

There may be some confusion regarding Link bitrates and wifi download speeds.

To try to cover both; With Link I can easily achieve +750mbps bitrate (checked with ODT hud performance/link summary graphs). I just ran a Telstra speed test (I'm on a 100mbps plan) on my QPro quest standalone home browser in a google window and got 108mbps download and 19mbps upload (5ms ping). So, this doesn't seem to be a V76 issue, for me anyway.  I guess if you have much higher network performance there may be an upper cap on this. Hard to believe that this would be an issue for most users imho.

I mean you're using the wired link to stream, as I mentioned multiple times it's a bug that affect streaming method that needs good lan download speed to stream via Wifi

you can also test your lan connection from your Quest Pro to your PC, it’s gonna be around 150~350Mbps download speed

It’s a bug that affects Virtual desktop/ALVR/Airlink/SteamLink, and usually it needs 300~350Mbps download speed to get a good quality streaming using H264

OK, I just checked this with my Router diagnostics and with my QPro connected via my official link cable connected to my z790mb usb3.2 gen2 type-c port it says that this connection is 1000mbps, which is the limit of my 1gb router.  So, I'm still not clear as to what the issue is?  Again, maybe if you have a much faster router/network there may be a cap.

With my QPro/rtx4090 I can easily maintain +750mbps with h.264 with 960mbps being the current limit.  My download speeds are in line with my 100mbps plan.  Even high streaming demand apps like msfs2024 recommend a min of 50mbps and recommend 100mbps.  I don't think their servers do any better than this anyway.  Depending on the time of day I often only get 20-50mbps download speed from them.

I have tested other codec with Link and found, for example, that h.265 maxes out at around 400mbps.  I've always thought that this limit was more to do with the wireless capability of the headset chips.  This works ok but I think I get better distance clarity and lower latency with h.264 at ~750mbps.  So, if I'm achieving all this I don't understand what the issue is.  Sorry mate, I'm probably missing something here.  Cheers.

Nah the thing is like… we are not talking about internet connection speed at here, we don’t need a high internet connection speed to connect to game servers, we need the high LAN CONNECTION SPEED  because we are using Wifi to connect Quest pro to PC to stream PCVR games instead of the Link cable, and the problem is after the test, we see that the LAN download speed is just bad after V76 drops on Quest Pro which is affecting a lot people that uses WIFI to stream PCVR games to their headset instead to link cable

oh btw I’m using nbn 1000 from spintel so it affects me both at LAN connection speed and Internet connection speed
