After updating v69, The problem of low resolution of VR applications

zhiweio19
Honored Guest

When you open a VR application, the resolution is locked at 1024x1024, which causes the overall resolution to be blurry and the font to be blurred

But it's normal in the home environment., I've updated and upgraded, Restart and other methods to exclude, The conclusion is that after the updateV69, the resolution of the VR application was locked in 1024x1024 for a moment., There's no way to change it., Please help me.

@zhiweio19  I'm not sure if this applies to you or not.  This is what I found with PCVR using Link and Air Link.

One thing that came to mind is to check your meta link pc app device graphics settings.  A little while ago when my PC app updated it moved these graphics settings to standard defaults = 72Hz refresh rate with the res slider mid-way around 1.0x.  This floored me at the time because everything looked pretty blurry compared to what I was used to.  I reset them back to what I normally use = 80Hz with res slider full right (rtx4090) and all was well again.  You may also want to check your ODT settings as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, I changed the resolution and pulled it 2 times, but it didn't work, I only appeared after the v69 update

My Q3 and meta link pc app are both on v69 (non-ptc) and everything looks fine with Link and Air Link.  Not sure what's causing your issue.  I guess you may need to contact meta support including your log file and see if they can help.  Good luck mate and cheers.

I also started experiencing this bug since updating to v69.. When I launch ANY immersive app (even the shutdown menu by holding the power button), the screens flash to black for like 1.5-2 seconds and then the resolution drops until I exit the immersive app. The image quality becomes noticeably worse.

Factory resetting my headset helped only temporarily. Initially, I suspected that it's the Content Adaptive Brightness Control setting in Experimental settings that's breaking things, however after the second factory reset, I intentionally avoided any settings that could cause this, including not messing with the Experimental settings at all, but things still broke after a short while (not even sure when exactly).

Another thing I tried is clearing my Guardian settings, however that didn't help either.

Yeah, I know. I dropped them a DM, but also wanted to add a +1 as another person who has this problem.
