Air Link Problems/Desktop Black Screen/Games Stutter

Hello,

I have just purchased a gaming laptop.

Spec :

CPU - AMD 5800h

GPU - RTX 3080 16GB VRAM

RAM - 32GB - 3200mhz

M2 SSD - 1TB

QHD Screen

Windows 10

My problem is that in Air link the Desktop just shows a black screen so i cant access my desktop. And also when launching a game from the game menu it is just a slow stuttery mess.

So i decided to use Virtual Desktop instead and it works great, But i would love to be able to use the actual Oculus software. Does anyone know how to fix this as it's obviously an issue with Air Link/Software.

Thanks

Andrew

So depending on resolutions/framerate/hdr status that your primary output to your monitor desktop might not appear.  In the video properties menu in windows 10 try the following

  • HDR off
  • Frame rate 120 or less
  • 1080P

As far as launching a game i have a 3080 ti, i have no isuues.  Keep in mind 3080/3090 and there variants are great cards, but vr is still a challenge. I tend to run 90 hz at 1.3 possbly 1.4 with airlink dynamic at 200mbps on a wifi 6 router.

When i set to 120 hz and anything above 1.5x(90 fps) it will stutter.
