Air Link stuck on pairing

Anonymous
Not applicable

I connect my headset to my PC, I click on the Connect button and then nothing. It gets replaced by a Greyed-out Launch button that never activates, and the headset even starts lagging for about a minute. Cable link works fine. Tried rebooting everything, giving firewall permissions to every oculus app, disabling firewall. The internet connection is 5Ghz and Excellent. Anyone else with the same issue?

Well, yes, exact same issue:

Disabled firewall, PC is connected in ethernet, Oculus in 5GHz, updated Nvidia drivers, checked the router parameters....

I'm out of ideas now.

Got the same here, but I am using mac with Parallels windows 10 virtual machine, so it could be related.

So, this may sound silly... But have you enabled Air Link in the Oculus desktop app? It's under the Beta options. That setting defaults to "off" automatically gets disabled after 24 hours of not being used.

Hey, yeah all modes were on, i tried a lot. I will try out a cloud gaming PC with virtual Desktop, I think my integrated graphics card on the macbook will not work out.

No, it might not. VR is really gpu intensive, so an integrated card is likely not going to be enough. Are macbooks even rated for VR to begin with?

Hello??? Has there been no solution for this?? My pc is updated. My quest app is updated. My quest 2 headset is updated. Nvidia is updated. My firewall is not blocking oculus. The internet is working find and it's the same internet on both my pc and the headset. Airlink is selected on the quest 2.

But it doesn't work! It stays stuck in pairing. What the hell is going on??? Airlink worked for me just fine for three months now. Now suddenly for no reason it doesn't pair????

Howdy there, @cicadarainbow! We understand that you're having trouble pairing your headset with the PC when using Air Link. And we recognize how this may impact your VR experience. We'll leave some suggestions below for you to consider, as well as the minimum requirements that the PC must meet that you'll be able to check here.

  • Connect your PC with the ethernet cable.
  • Make sure that your PC and headset are connected to the same internet connection (5GHz is recommended).
