Air link "Something went wrong. Try again."

Up until last night, air link has worked perfectly for me. But when I try to connect now, anytime I click into the menu and look at the available links, it says "Something went wrong. Try again.".

I've restarted the headset and unlinked it from my PC and nothing is changing. Seems to be a problem with the headset due to the fact I haven't even connected yet when it happens.

Hey @A_Person23! We know how having your airlink not work can put a pause on your PCVR experience, but no worries. We're here to help! We understand that you continue to receive an error message when attempting to open Airlink. Please provide a screenshot of the error message that appears.

 

Thanks for trying a few troubleshooting steps on your own. Have you tried to repair the Meta Quest PC application? If not, please use the troubleshooting steps listed below:

 

  1. Go to https://www.meta.com/quest/setup and click Download Software.
  2. Select Repair.
    1. If Windows asks you if you’re sure you want to open this file, click yes.
    2. If Windows Defender prompts Windows to protect your PC, click More Info and then click Run anyway.
    3. If your antivirus software restricts the file from opening, temporarily disable your AV and continue.
    4. Please remember to re-enable your antivirus software once you've completed the repair.
  3. Allow the repair process to run, download, and install.
  4. Launch the Meta Quest PC app.

Hello, @PerfectTenGamer. We know Air Link is the best way to play PC VR wirelessly, and that extra freedom can make the difference between a solid 9, or a perfect ten rating! We would love to assist you in connecting to your pc again however possible, please review the following:

  • First, have you tried the steps previously suggested? Repairing the PC software can help a lot. 
  • Next, please ensure you have given your headset a quick restart. as this can solve a lot of weird random issues. We also recommend the same for your PC.
  • Then, please double check that the issue is not caused by your Antivirus or Firewall services, sometimes they block Air Link wireless connections.
  • Lastly for now, be sure you have toggled the Air Link options in the headset off and back on.

  • What device are you trying to air link your Meta Quest to? PC? Laptop?
