Air link screen is split, top part is displayed bottom is just black.

Recently i got a new pc and running it with cable is fine, but when i use air link the screen is split, the top part is displayed a little distorted and the bottom isn't displayed at all. I've tried to reset the meta quest 2 but that didn't do anything. The start menu displays well with no problems so it's just the air link. I don't know what the cause of this is since my pc meets the requirements but i do have another bug with the date, it appears as Feb 8, 2037. Along with this it creates connection issues and the internet says limited connection, this however has been there for a while and since i used air link it didn't disturb much.

Hey Reicela, totally get your concern with the sudden display issues when using Air Link. It's one of the coolest features and we want to make sure it gets back into working order for you! Let's begin by making sure that our graphics card driver is up to date, as there are new releases for it quite frequently. We also want to make sure that you are doing the factory reset properly by following these steps:

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory Reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

If the issue still persists after trying this, please gather your oculus logs and send it over to our Online Support Team so that they can take a deeper look into the specific cause of this issue. Here's how you can find your logs:

  1. Find your Oculus installation directory (C:\Program Files\Oculus if installed on the primary hard drive).
  2. Navigate to Support and then oculus-diagnostics.
  3. Double-click OculusLogGatherer and wait for an executable to appear.
  4. Select Get All Logs.

Mine was doing that so I went into settings on the headset and wrote in search bar "update" and there was a software update available, after installing that ("downloading" takes a good few minutes) air link worked fine for me.

Hope this helps

Good to know, thanks for sharing this.  Good to know that a factory reset is not always necessary.  I've also found a fix with both Link and Air Link is to download the Oculus Desktop PC app from the meta support website and run a Repair.  This can also fix a lot of problems.  Thanks again and cheers..
