Air link suddenly not working, and can't contact meta quest support because of error.

It's been a while with me using air link, and now it just doesn't work, my quest cant detect my computer and vice versa. I tried everything, I disconnected and reconnected to the internet, reset both apps, try steam link, scream at my VR, nothing worked out. I am trying to use steam link, and it says "streaming VR is only allowed on the local network" I would like a fix to this as I have superhot in steam VR and I am trying to get steam link or even air link to work, and each time it works (1/1034 times) it makes me have to pair it as if its my first time using quest link on the computer. Sometimes my VR's internet is just acting stupid, but in that time it was just fine.
I have a wifi6 router.
I have a quest 3.
My computer specs:  CPU: Intel core (TM) i7-7700HQ   CPU @ 2.80GHz      Memory: samsung 16.0 gb        GPU: nividia gefore GTX 1060 6gb. Hard disk: 2TB + 512GB

Thank you for getting back to us. We want to let you know that we cannot guarantee that Air Link will work properly on a mesh network, but we do want to ask you to attempt to use a compatible network. We are unable to add SUPERHOT VR to your library as Steam is its own platform, and we are unable to access that. We do recommend reaching out to Steam support and asking them what the best next steps would be. If you do attempt a different network, please let us know so that we will be able to further assist you. We hope to hear from you soon!

Hey @Lazar.1, It's great to hear you've picked up your headset again! We understand you're eager to jump back into action with SuperHot, and we appreciate you attempting troubleshooting. With that said, we'd be happy to help. To give us a better understanding, could you answer the following:

  1. Have you tried using Quest Link?
  2. Is anything new about your network, PC, Quest 3, or play space? (network changes, new PC hardware of software, dropped/damaged, new items in play space, etc.)
  3. Is the Router in the same room as the PC and Headset?
  4. Are you using a VPN? (whether on PC or router)

Because Steam VR is not officially supported, please keep in mind that there's limited troubleshooting available for related issues. For more information about Steam VR, see the official Steam VR page

We look forward to assisting you!

I haven't used quest link before, I only use cable if i'm manually downloading mods for BONELAB/Beat Saber.
I believe nothing has changed in my network plan as we switched from unlimited to 1280gb, and nothing is new in either one of the components of the wifi router, to which my wifi router is not too far from my computer, from my living room to my kitchen, with no door seperation, with a door seperation being in the garage, where I play with the quest 3. I am not using a VPN on my pc, but I am not 100% sure if I am not using a vpn on my wifi router.

Thank you for getting back to us with this information. We have some things that we'd like you to try.

  • Ensure that you are not using a Mesh Network.
  • Ensure that you are not using a wireless extender.
  • Re-pair Air Link:
  • Hard reboot the headset, restart PC, then restart router.
    1. Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound.
    2. If the boot-up sound is not heard:
      1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
      2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
      3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
  • Ensure Cloud Backup is enabled and factory reset the headset.
  • Try connecting with a cable instead.

Please let us know if these steps help. If not, we are more than happy to take a closer look.

So I have a mesh network, but I have had it for longer than how long i've had my meta quest 3. the streaming stopped working around like 3-2 months ago

Most Mesh Networks are likely to cause issues with Air Link as they modulate the connection for the device between the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands, which will cause Air Link to be unstable at best. More than likely the devices won't be able to see each other at all and if they do, there is often a failure to connect. It may have worked in the past, but since it is not a supported network type, it's not something that we can guarantee. Based on the symptoms, we'd have to guess that the issue is with the network type.

Hello, hello, @Lazar.1! We're checking back in to see if you've been able to get Air Link to work properly with a non-mesh network. If you were able to try a private home network and you're still running into the same connection error, please let us know. We'd be happy to help further from there!

the mesh newtork is the only network i have and it is a private home network.

Hi again, @Lazar.1. Thanks for circling back to let us know! In this case, we can recommend continuing to play with the link cable instead. Please let us know if you run into any issues while connected via Quest Link, and we'll be happy to assist with any troubleshooting!

I do not have a 70 meter cable, and also, I can clarify that I am not actually using mesh, that was some error or whatsoever, and I have a wifi6 cox wifi.
