All WiFi connection - cannot provide internet connection

NomadsAnIsland

Edit: Seems to be working now. Who knows?

v67 Quest 2

None of my WiFi connection will provide an internet connection all of a sudden.

I changed my WiFi passwords on my router and gateway. When I connect to any of the connections from my Quest 2 it connects but says it says no internet connection. My phone connects with internet connection.

I rebooted everything multiple times. Reloaded the last configuration with the old passwords to my router still no internet connections.

Forgot WiFi connections on Quest 2 and re-entered. No internet. Tried using static IP settings. No internet.

WiFi info in Quest is showing an IV4 IP address and the proper IP address for the internet gateway (192.168.1.1)

I doubt a factory reset will work without an internet connection.

Any suggestions?

Hello @NomadsAnIsland !

Thank you so much for trying some of the troubleshooting steps. Let's go ahead and try a few more steps before we can look into other options. We would like to request that you try to perform a factory reset. Performing a Factory reset will wipe all information and data off the device. Some of this data can be restored by enabling Cloud Backups beforehand.

However, keep in mind that while Cloud Backup is available to all Meta Quest developers, it's up to developers to decide whether to enable this feature for their app and what data is backed up. You can find which installed apps have Cloud Backups enabled on the Cloud Backups page of your Meta account profile. Once you've set up Cloud Backups, ensure your device is fully charged, then proceed with the directions.

Factory Reset from the headset

  1. Turn off your headset.
  2. Hold the power and volume (-) buttons down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
  3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Factory reset and press the power button.
  4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.
    • Bear in mind that if you factory reset your headset, anything that you downloaded or saved will be removed. Your Meta Quest will go through the initial setup as if it had just come out of the box.

We hope this helps! Feel free to reach out to us in a private message for further assistance! Click on our profile, then click "Send a Message."
