All meta accounts incl FB, Instragram incl connected business accounts deleted after age update

Dear Sirs,


While trying to get control of the Oculus use of my son (12 years old) who was using the account of his mother, I changed the date of birth to my sons birthday.


Since it seems I was actually changing the date of birth of my wife this change cascaded down to all the accounts of my wife including our business accounts on Instagram, Facebook personal accounts with years and years of work and information and connections etc. A real disaster for us both personally and business wise.


We find no way to reach out to Meta to help us correct this clear mistake and reestablish the accounts of my wife. So far the message goes.. closed forever, no way to get back account etc.


I am reaching out to get our accounts and contents back. I have several ways to proof that my wife is an adult.

By the way not even an email regarding the account closures was sent to my wife. We just found out when we wanted to post that all has been deleted. Incredible that this can happen by just changing a date in the account without any warning or confirmation etc.


I hope somebody can help us out.

Once we get this figured out, we suggest making a Parent Managed account for your child this way the account doesn't get flagged for any violations, we want our users to be protected!
