Among us VR on Quest 2 stuck loading. Says system is updating to latest version but it is not

When trying to load it wither goes black screen with the  3 dots for loading forever (waited 15min once), or it will blink back to home screen and gives message that device is currently updating. There is no update though everything is up to date. Tried uninstall and reinstall no good. Tried using power and volume buttons to reboot headset, worked once where it went to boot menu. However did not solve the issue and when trying to do this another time after another uninstall, reinstall of the game, now it wont go to that boot menu instead it shows me an android with its stomach ooen and the phrase “no command” on bottom of screen. Just want my kids to play the game i bought. Other games on same headset work normally.

Hi there, @Toy-Yoda!

It seems like you're having an issue with launching Among Us - This is never ideal. Let's see what we can do!

First, we have a few questions:

  • Has the game been downloaded from a Meta platform?
  • Have you always had this issue? If not, when did it begin?
  • Are you experiencing any issues in the home environment?
  • Are you using a VPN or firewall?
  • Has your device and app been updated to the latest version?
  • Do you have a strong Wi-Fi connection?

Furthermore, when rebooting your headset, if you pressed the volume up button instead of the volume down button, this can sometimes trigger the "no command" error. So, we advise you to attempt to reboot your device again, ensuring that you are following these steps:

  • Hold down the power button and volume down button for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound
  • If the boot-up sound is not heard:
    1. Hold the power and volume (-) button down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset.
    2. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight "Boot Device" and press the power button.
    3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button.

We look forward to hearing from you and hope to get you back into the Among Us world as soon as we can!
