Android File Transfer is now broken on MacOS Ventura

I use Android File Transfer on MacOS to transfer my animation to the Oculus 2 . Now it seems to be broken. What other ways are there to transfer movie files to the headset on MacOS? Work has been stopped.

Hey there @MagicMorelock! Thank you for reaching out. We have a couple questions regarding the transferring of files between your headset and your Mac computer.

  • Are you using our "Remote Desktop" app?
  • Have you tried opening/transferring files through the "Remote Desktop" app?
  • When did this issue first start occurring?

Let us know the answers to these questions and we would be more than happy to continue helping you out.

Is this for Mac OS? if so where do I download this app?

I believe that the  Android File Transfer on MacOS stopped working after I updated to MacOS Ventura. It was working fine before.

"Remote Desktop" app does not connect to my Oculus. Went through all the steps. Remote Desktops does NOT connect. The cable worked file with the Android File Transfer app.  I was asked in the Oculus to allow drive connections to my computer... said allow, system preferences are allowing Meta Quest in.

Do you currently have the Developer Mode enabled? At times, that feature may conflict with Android File Transfer.

I believe I do have Developer Mode Enabled. I can not see how to disable/ enable this feature.

The Oculus is connected to my Mac, I can see it when I open Photos. But, Remote Desktop does not see any available Devices.

Before we go off into new realms, I have one single purpose in mind. I need to transfer movie files to the Oculus so I can view them. I am an animator working on a huge project. I use Pigasus as my viewing app. I need to store the movie onboard the Oculus as they have a high data rate. The  Android File Transfer made this very easy. Now it seems to be broken and my project is at a stand still. I have absolutely no other use for the Oculus other than viewing these stereo animations. All I need is file transfer.

Following this thread, I have the exact issue. Android File Transfer was working perfectly, and super easy. I shouldn't have to become a developer or programer to get this feature back.
