App Sharing Limits Apply to Meta Quest+?

Setting up 6 Meta Quest 3s for use in a public library. Wanted to verify if app sharing limits apply to Meta Quest+ subscriptions. Would we need six subscriptions, one for each device?

If six subscriptions are needed, would each device need a separate account with credit card information? Or could one admin account manage the subscriptions for each device?

Many thanks!

Hi @jkeliher 🙂

some additional info to what @MetaQuestSupport  said.

The admin of a device can only share with one other device at a time. You can switch between devices though...... but I assume you want to use your six quests at once.

That means three accounts need to be admins for 2 headsets each.
You will also need three accounts to share the games with. Doing it this way, three headsets can be used with the admin accounts and the other three with the additional accounts.
And you'll need three subscribtions.

This is how it would work for "normal" users, it might be different if you use buisness accounts. I'm not familar with those.

@Choleni Thank you so much for chiming in and providing some information for @jkeliher. To answer your question about whether the child account would need to have the same credit card information, no they don't have to. We encourage you to make the choice that will be easiest for you. We hope this helps and that you have a wonderful day!

Hey hey! Thanks for reaching out, @jkeliher!

Wow, this is such a fun idea! We love to hear about our devices being used in different scenarios.

For App Sharing on the Meta Quest 3, you can share purchased apps with additional accounts on your device, but the additional accounts can only access shared apps on the device where app sharing is turned on. If you'd like to learn more about App Sharing, we have provided a link, here, to our page on this!

We hope that this was helpful and welcome to the VR family, we hope you enjoy your stay!

Thank you for the information! We have "normal" consumer headsets that are not enrolled in a MDM.

We're trying to make our management as seamless as possible. We're leaning to having 3 admins, and 3 child accounts. Would each child account need the same credit card information?
