I'm using a oculus quest 2 and when on the app when I type the code to pair (in setup) it says pairing then takes me to put the code in again and it just repeats I've factory reset two times now please help!

After many hours I found this thread and Meta Developer Hub was the solution for me.
I've tried many factory resets, installed the meta-app on different phones (even with older versions) and I created a new meta account for pairing my quest 2. Nothing worked.
With "Meta Developer Hub" installed on my laptop I could pair my quest to my meta account without any issue.

I’m having the same issue with my Quest 2. It started with me no longer being able to cast or add accounts. After many hours trouble shooting that with Meta support they said to do a factory reset and that essentially bricked my headset. Their only solution after that was to sell me a refurbished headset!!!
I will try this solution, but I just wanted to warn others that if you are having account or casting issues on Quest 2 DO NOT listen to Meta and DO NOT do a factory reset.

We do seem to have a solution for the issue you are having. We suggest that you try the following:
How to cast
Once you begin casting, a colored dot will appear in the top-right corner of your vision. This dot indicates that your view is being cast, and the color indicates the connection quality to the casting device.
Developers have the option to disable casting in their app. Some apps may not allow casting. Meta does not have a list of which apps do and do not allow casting.

Update on my previous message:
I can confirm that the solution proposed by Draxter16 worked to unbrick my Quest2 (thank you!), but it still has the same issues as before: I cannot pair it with or cast to the mobile app, nor can I add accounts. At least I can play on it again, but the solutions provided by Meta (including in their responses below) were useless.
