I have been trying to update Beat Saber on my Quest 2 for a long time now. It always says an update is available, but when I press update, it says it is updating for a few seconds, then goes back to waiting in queue. This repeats a couple times, until eventually it stops trying and cancels the update. I want to play the new Beat Saber songs, and because of this bug, I have to use PCVR which is a buggy mess in it of itself. (I also have automatic app updates on, but it still doesn't work)

probably it's not a bug, but you are set to the wrong version number of the game.
Go to your library in the mobile app, tab on beat saber.
On the following page scroll down - almost to the end of the page - to "more information".
Here you'll find the game version number....it shoukd say 1.36.2....
If you have another version, maybe 1.34.2 legacy, tab on it and pick 1.36.2 LIVE.
After doing that your game should update correctly.
The screenshot is in german and shows not the current version number.....it's just for you to know what I'm talking about😉

It already says "Version 1.36.2_8847700518" with the LIVE channel selected. But it still doesn't update.

I found another post about the same issue from 6 hours ago (no replies), but with a different game.

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
With a llittle luck it will install the correct version.
If not, send a PM @MetaQuestSupport
click on the name to visit their profile page, then click the "send a message" button.
I hope they can help if reinstall does not work.

Uninstalling and reinstalling did not fix the issue. I have contacted Meta Quest Support. If the problem is fixed, I will post the solution here.

Yes please, keep us updated.....
.........maybe you have to perform a factory reset in order to make it work again.
