The coal heritage museum where I work is developing an interactive virtual tour of surface mining operations through a collaboration with Penn State University. The goal of this tour is to facilitate more inclusive, informed conversations regarding energy development and its environmental consequences, and to promote energy justice in a region of Pennsylvania long marked by an uneven distribution of energy costs and benefits.
We had planned to purchase two Quest 2 headsets for the exhibit. I see that this generation has been discontinued, and Quest 3 headsets are outside of our current budget.
Does Meta have any programs to donate or subsidize the cost of VR headsets for nonprofit, educational organizations? Of course, we would acknowledge any charitable contributions in the VR tour and exhibit.

Hey hey @EMVtest, and welcome to the forums! I absolutely love hearing about how VR is being used for education, and this sounds incredible. What a cool way to share important knowledge regarding energy and the environment!
I completely understand the need for a more affordable way to implement this. While I don't have any discounts or headsets to give you myself, I'd like to point you in the direction of Quest for Business. On that page, you'll find an option to contact sales. I'd recommend filling out that form to get started!
Once you get the virtual tour all set up and working, I think this would be really cool to share about on the VR Experiences board. And if I ever find myself in Pennsylvania, I'll have to make sure and stop by!
