My kids stumbled upon the fact that Walkabout Mini Golf now shares their add-on courses (DLCs)! I had a few emails with Meta support and received official confirmation regarding DLC sharing: - I asked: "To confirm, Meta allows DLC sharing, and it’s up to each game’s developer to enable it for their game, correct?" - Meta response: "Yes, it depends on the developers to allow some features since Meta is just a platform to address any technical or payment-related issues on the apps. We encourage you to reach out to developers to share any feedback on their product."
So if anyone finds a game that does not share DLCs, we need to contact the developers of those games.
For example, I contacted Beat Saber, and they responded with an excuse about licensing the music and that "for now" it is not changing. I told them that we'd love to buy the packs, but we won't until they work that out. I also noted that Synthriders DOES share DLCs for tracks bought in that game, so (a) it's clearly doable and (b) we DO buy those DLCs!
To find out how to contact a game’s developer, go to the store page of the game, scroll down to "Additional Details," and you’ll see who the developer is and their webpage address where you'll find contact options.
For Beat Saber, feel free to email them to complain using contact@beat-games.com. More people complaining might motivate them to change their policy.
