If you can't use "fast travel" to leave the stomach (probably you can't, because the quest isn't finished yet), you'll need to roll back the game and look for the hippo first.
In the game, go to Settings - Credits, here you'll find the "roll back" option.
Unfortunately, you'll lose game progress up to the last rollback point and have to replay some parts.🙁
