Asgard's Wrath 2 won't load - get 3 dots on black screen when launching

As per the title, the game isn't loading. I think it occurred because I cancelled an update just over a week ago because I wanted to play a different game.

Now when I go to launch Asgard's I get the 3 dots on black background. No matter how long I leave it trying for, I never see the games splash screen.

I've put in about 10-15 hours worth of game time so I don't want to delete the game and reinstall. (I didn't realize cloud saves weren't on by default until yesterday, so my only cloud save goes back to Dec 16 2023).

How do I fix this issue without loosing my save game?

Wanted to update my post to say I ended up deleting and re-installing the game. And happy to say that my save game is intact! Now to jump back into Egypt.

Hi @Britbloke75 

If this happens because of an update, that not going through correctly and now  files are missing, the only way to fix that is probably reinstalling the game.🙁

Usually cloud backup is set by default.

I'm not sure why your last back up is from december.....except this is the point when you last played the game.

I was hoping to avoid a re-install because my cloud save goes all the way back to Dec and I've played a lot since then.

Will just have to bite the bullet and see what happens when I reinstall. I won't be happy if I have to start over again. Things like this shouldn't happen just because I canceled an update.

It's not nice, that's true. But sometimes this happens when a download is interrupt..... no matter if the interrupt is caused by losing connection to internet or canceling the download.
