So I recently decided to actually get through Asgard's Wrath with the second one coming real soon. problem is it stutters so bad as to be unplayable. I made sure nothing else is running. I have tried the physx fix I found on redit to make sure it is set to my video card. I made sure the Oculus runtime was the highest priority in my task manager. quality settings make no difference. It just starts stuttering so bad its unplayable and I dont know what to do here. I have a 10700KS processor, 32gb of Ram. a 3070 TI. If I try opening the oculus menu it goes crazy and is completely unplayable. I dont know what else to do here. standalone games run amazing. Steam games are like butter on max settings. the only game I have trouble with is Asgard's Wrath. I am on an NVME SSD even. I dont have any idea what is causing this or what else to try. Considering this is an action combat game especially when it starts doing this it is unplayable. I dont know what else to do here.

Hello Team. I have the same issue. Oculus 3, Windows 11, AMD CPU 7900, GPU 7900XTX. Stuttering of the screen is very inconfortable. Did you found some solution? Thanks

Hello, I spent some time with trying to fix an issue with stuttering and I was successful. I had two problems. One with stuttering the game and second issue was that Oculus was frozen while 5 seconds since startup.
I tried many of ways and settings and can't with sure tell what exactly was the reason but I discovered that a stuttering was happened for all the environment via Oculus Link and not only for this Asgard game.
It is Oculus Link Application who is responsible for those stuttering issues.
My configuration:
I am using WiFi Airlink with Unifi Ubiquiti 5G - 80hz width.
My success to stop stuttering resolve is dependent on these settings:
I installed latest Beta.
I disabled all additional settings in AMD Adrenalin for Oculus App which seems is parent of the child processes.
I disabled 120Hz in settings in VR.
I used Oculus Debug Tool in PC and i select video codec to 264 explicitelly.
Now is whole environment in Oculus Link smooth and perfect even less fps refresh. If I will have more exact information I will post it here.
Btw: The game is awesome!

Thank you for sharing.
Being with nvidia I will need to skip the AMD process. LOL
I can certainly try changing the refresh rate.
I did already set the video codec so it uses 264. Good call out as others may not have searched redit on this as much as I have. LOL
I absolutely agree this game is amazing and deserves to shine. Maybe it will one day be available more widely so more can experience it and understand how great it is.

You aren't alone, here is the almost super silly thing about Wrath Of Asgard, my gtx 1080 with ryzen 2600, ran nearly flawless mid settings, only dropped frame rates when i ran the resolution up passed 100, now i have a rtx 3070 and ryzen 5600x with 32gb 3600cl16 ram, it stutters like crazy after a short period, i bring windows up and also do the nvidia overlay it will run ok, i do have the setting on epic apart from a few settings like shadows and post processing, we should be able to run resolution up higher than 100 on an rtx 3070, we need dlss support really.

I'm glad to see this comment, i 100% agree runs great on worse/old hardware, i reckon wrath of asgard has serious optimisation support from its devs, the fact a gtx 1080 runs it better than a rtx 3070 is beyond a joke.

Same!! I swear it ran better on my old 1060

I reckon they gave up on support for the game, if the newer cards are suffering then its a clear optimisation issue, before you uninstalled the oculus app btw, you should check another game to see if its working ok from the store/library, if you do have no issues with other game on the oculus app i wouldn't have bothered with uninstalling it as that's clearly not the issue.
