Hello, recently my B button on my right controller stopped being responsive. If I press it really hard and wiggle it around I can get it to activate, but most of the time pressing the button does nothing. I haven't really used the controller that much, so it's not worn out from overuse. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Hi! Thanks for the support. I ended up using WD-40 Specialist Contact Cleaner, and my button is functional again! In case anyone finds this forum post, please note this may impact warranty and is not recommended by Meta. But it worked for me. I just sprayed it around the edges of the button and pushed it a bunch to work it in, and it started working again after a few minutes.

Update -- the B button is no longer working at all. Also, the touch sensitivity on all buttons and right joystick isn't working either.

Hi Chrishan,
We noticed you were having issues with a button sticking on your controller. We would recommend using compressed air to remove any debris that may be inside the controller.
Let us know how you get on with this!
If you are still having issues, please feel free to DM us.

Hi Christian, I didn't disassemble the controller, just sprayed at the edges of the button and mashed it for a long while to work it in. Might have to wait hours for it to dry, don't use too much if you try it.
But it stopped working again after a few months, and I couldn't get it working. I did try one last effort to disassemble the controller and spray directly on the contacts, but I wouldn't recommend that because both my A and B button stopped working. Time to buy a new controller!

Also make sure you don't use normal WD-40. It has to be electronic contact cleaner. There's a chance it will ruin your controller, but it did work for me for a few months!
