[BUG] - Passthrough on v76 is broken when using apps

While using the Quest 3 in apps like STEAMVR, we used to be able to switch to passthrough mode without pausing the app we were using which allowed me to multi-task especially if I am playing a social game like VRCHAT on STEAMVR. However since this update I am unable to do that; the audio transmission gets cut off and my tracking also goes away inside the game. I absolutely hate this change if it is not a bug, I would really appreciate that this gets fixed ASAP. Now I cannot play guitar while talking to people on VRCHAT and see what I am doing.

Hi there,

 

Thanks for posting into our forum. We can see you're having some passthrough problems while using your device in things like VRChat in SteamVR. As Steam VR is not officially supported, we wouldn't have much troubleshooting if this is directly linked to SteamVR.

 

In this instance, we'd recommend getting in touch with Steam Support and enquiring further with them about the passthrough.

 

If this passthrough issue is also present when using Meta Quest software in PCVR, please let us know this and we'll be happy to offer whatever troubleshooting we can to lend a hand. Thanks!

This problem exists with any app being used on PCVR - whenever I am using an app whether its AirLink or Steam Link and I use pass through it will immediately cut off all connection from the app until I turn off pass through then it will start working again. This was not the case before v76

I do not play any standalone games. the issue I am having is as I stated and it didn't used to be that way. please help.

Coomlet I regret to inform you are talking to a bot/llm. Meta is being disrespectul to users and developers by the way they are opperating this system. I lost count how many tickets I have throw them and so far 0 was solved. It's really sad. I only keep posting this messages as I truly believe in the technology, but honestly I am quite sad that the company is probably forcing it's own employers to offer a poor service for the community.

Eh. I realized but I have no choice but to go through the obstacles to have a human talk to me. after a constant back and forth yesterday and doing their script of diagnosing - it finally has escalated to a human who still hasn't really given me any solution or a message with substance yet. I dont understand the point of having PTC where we are the guinea pigs and they still refuse to fix the bugs when they are caught in beta.
