Just an FYI regarding their Referral program. This is your typical bait and switch. They advertis $30 for the referred client and $30 for the referring. My friend sent me a referral link and I went out and bought the Quest 3. I clicked on the activation link (as the instructions explain) and created a new account. I never received the credit. After reaching out to Meta they claim the steps are different than what are posted on their site, and denied the referral credit for both my friend and I. I sent screenshots with purchase receipt, activation email, screen shot of the referral link and was still told I did not qualify. This was my first time buying their product (brand new not used), first time creating an account, we both live in the same state, same country and clicked on the referral link to create the account.
I advise anyone else this has happened to, notify the FTC and reference the Lanham Act. This is bait and switch. Meta must really be hurting financially if they can't stand behind their referral program. That lawsuit Meta had last year, must have really put a dent in Zuckerberg's pocket. I will never refer Meta to anyone, or buy any of their products in the future, and I had planned on buying multiple devices. I will be taking the VR back for a full refund, I refuse to do business with a company that doesn't keep their word and stand by their Referral program.
