Beat Saber won't update

I tried updating the game but it says queuing even when I have nothing downloading. Then it just goes back to saying update. I tried restarting the device and uninstalling then reinstalling. I can open and play the game however not online because when I try the game tells me online play is unavailable since it needs to be updated.

Hey there, SteelButt3fly! We heard that you're reporting issues with Beat Saber not updating. Let's work together to get to the bottom of this! First, let's check the following:

 

  1. If the application is shared, please ensure that you're logged into the primary account that owns the game in order to update the app.
  2. Check for updates for the device itself. Pending system updates may be given priority over library updates. 
  3. Recheck your library after installing any system updates.
  4. Relog on the headset: 
    1. Hold the power button down until the shutdown options appear.
    2. Power off the headset. Do a full shutdown, not just a restart.
    3. Log out of the Meta Quest mobile app.
    4. Restart the mobile phone.
    5. Log in to the Meta Quest mobile app.
    6. Power the headset back on.

Hi @SteelButt3fly 🙂

Seems your game always install an older game version.

Make sure you've set the game to the correct(latest) game version.

Go in your mobile app to menu - library and tap on beat saber

On the following page scroll down - almost to the end - to more details.

Here you'll find the game version.......it should say 1.36.2......

If not, tap on it and select that version.

After that the game should update and multiplayer is working again.

Ive been having the same problem and ive tried everything uninstalling and re installing again it just gets to a certain download precentage and then says queued again even though i dont have anything queued

Can you please tell us, if you had already tried this steps:

 

  •  Make sure you've set the game to the correct(latest) game version.

  • If not, tap on it and select that version.

as @MetaQuestSupport said, checking if you are on the latest game version is definitely a good idea.

But it's not version 1.36.2 anymore, beat saber is currently on version 1.37.5.

I tried that and it didnt work, what else can i do to make it work

Hi there!

 

1. You can try forcing the update in the Quest headset settings- Quest Settings > About > Update.

 

2. Also, if you completely delete the game from your headset, reboot the headset, then download again.

 

3. Finally, you can also try logging out of the phone app, or performing a re-install of app if that fails.
