BigScreen Public Rooms on New Quest 3 Have No Video (some No Audio)

New Quest 3 with all pre-installed software updated, including V60 update.  No other software was installed.  Everything  in BigScreen works (e.g. 3D movie previews off from the Lobby), EXCEPT Public Rooms.  No video in ANY Public Room, Audio in SOME, People in ALL.  Distance to Wi-Fi Router about 5 feet.  

Uninstalled BigScreen and Reinstalled.  Over 200 Mbps transfer rate.  Now get video and audio on most Public Rooms, including SOME 3D.  But MOST 3D and 4K rooms I get people with them talking, SOMETIMES movie Audio, but NOT Video!!!

I have since installed Steam Link, whick works fine meaning great bandwidth between the headset, my wifi router, and my PC running my steam games.

Any ideas why a virgin, out-of-box headset yields crappy experience?

Hey there, @TexasNightOwl! Making sure your VR gaming experience is thriving to the fullest is our top priority, so we wanted to pop in to share the following troubleshooting steps to help:

  • Hard reboot the headset  by holding down the power button and volume down button (-) for 30 seconds until you hear the boot-up sound. If you don't hear the boot-up sound, go ahead and enter the USB Update Mode and select "Boot Device."
  • Uninstall then reinstall this game using the directions located here.
  • Log out and back into the phone app
  • Uninstall that application, restart the headset, and reinstall the application.
