Hello,
I used the headset for about 2 hours, then put it to sleep and charged it. An hour later, I woke it up and received a "tracking lost" message, but my controllers were not working, and my hands were not recognized, making it impossible to click on the offered options.
I tried putting it to sleep and waking it up again: same issue. I attempted a hard reboot: same issue.
So, I initiated a reset via the Meta website, but nothing happened to the headset. I then performed a factory reset by holding the volume down + power buttons.
The headset started, displayed Meta Horizon OS, then showed a colored screen for 0.5 seconds and a bright black screen with the startup music. I left it like that for about an hour, but nothing changed.
I performed multiple factory resets: same result. I did an update via Sideload and the Meta website; the update went well, but upon reboot, there was a black screen with the music.
Another detail: when the headset is on, the controllers vibrate together every 5 seconds.
Thx for help 🙂

@R4n5h1N what game were you playing before the headset died. What games do you usually play on the headset?

Hey 🙂
I was playing Cybrix and synth rider.
usually a play cybrix, Synthrider, pistol Wisp, Bridge Constructor Studio, Rainbow Reactor Fusion, Cubism, Never Down and some other.
but recently a buy some game and installed them but never launch, like powerbeats VR, Game Night, Wonderglade, The key, Kill It with Fire
Do you think that issue come from soft ?

@R4n5h1N no, I was thinking that some games get the user to sweat so much that the sweat vapour can kill the electronics. Some of the symptoms could be a failed camera or proximity sensor. It's possible to disable the proximity sensor using the meta quest developer hub utility to rule it out as the point of failure.

Hmmm... that's very pertinent what you're saying.
Indeed, after 2 hours, I was... drenched!!
I wiped the headset before putting it away, but I probably should have turned it off and left it out to dry.
It's still crazy that they didn't think of that when designing it.
I'll look into it and try to follow your advice!! Thank you so much 🙂

@R4n5h1N if it is moisture damage then you may be able to save it by removing the inner faceplate and outer faceplate and cleaning/protecting the proximity sensor connectors. Sounds like a big job, but it's only 14 small screws. Tutorials on youtube or give us a shout if you need further help.

Hey,
Thank you for your advice!
Since the headset is still under warranty, after trying several things, I decided to request a repair rather than disassemble it myself, even though I would have really liked to see the inside ^^".
After initiating the reset via the website, the headset was unlinked, and now I can't re-link it for activate developer mode on my phone
Thank you for your help 🙂
